Lasota (New castle Vaccine)

Description

INDICATIONS

Ranikhet disease vaccine is a live freeze-dried vaccine, indicated for the primary vaccination of chickens at 1-day of age or older against Newcastle Disease.

IMMUNITY

Duration and intensity of the immune reaction and the establishment of a solid immunity are dependent on the possible presence of maternal antibodies and in general on the health and condition of the chickens. Hygiene and management are also important in the post vaccination period.

COMPOSITION

Each dose contains at least 106 EID50 of live, attenuated Newcastle Disease virus (NDV) lentogenic strain F.

STORAGE

Store in the dark between 2 °C and 8 °C.

WARNING

should be used as a primary vaccination in 1-day-old chickens to reduce the severity of reactions experienced when more virulent Newcastle Disease vaccine strains are subsequently used.

PRECAUTIONS

vaccine container once opened.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE – USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

Do not open and reconstitute Ranikhet Disease vaccine until ready to start vaccination.

ADMINISTRATION

Drinking water

Ensure the uptake of all vaccine-medicated water in 2 hours. Ensure that the chickens are thirsty by withholding normal water supply from the chickens for 1 to 2 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. Ensure that there are enough drinkers available to ensure that all chickens have access to the vaccine-medicated water within 1 to 2 hours. Ensure that the water troughs are thoroughly cleaned prior to use. These should be clean and free from traces of detergents and disinfectants.

The quantity of water to be used depends on many factors including ambient temperature, stocking densities, etc. It is advisable to consult water consumption tables.
